Ancient stone tools found in Delaware

Ancient stone tools, some maybe as old as 5,000 years, have been unearthed in Delaware.

Clarke said tools to help make arrows and tools used to crack nuts have been found.

“We rarely ever find them intact. They are such important tools that Native Americans either carried them with them or they are destroyed over time,” Clarke said.

And the process to undercover history is delicate. Every artifact is placed in a bag and carefully recorded.
