200 ancient artifacts recovered in Yemen

Since the beginning of the year, about 200 smuggled and stolen artifacts have been recovered in Yemen.

Most of the antiquities were held by the security authorities in the Sana’a International Airport.¬†Six suspects, all are Yemenis, are being appeared in courts in connection to smuggling antiquities, according to the source.

The recovered antiquities included statues, archeries and stone panels and others back to before and after Islamic period.
