Ancient rock art defaced in Australia

I still can’t wrap my head aruond the complete disrespect for history that some people have. Vandals in Western Australia have defaced some ancient rock engravings on the Burrup Peninsula.

Greens MP and rock art researcher, Robin Chapple said he recently visited the site in north west Western Australia and discovered the word ‘Philomena’ scratched on the surface of a rock.

“Other visitors had been there a week before and not seen this damage, so it was done in the days before my visit,” Chapple said.
