130-year-old cold case solved

The discovery of a skull found in David Attenborough’s garden has led to the closing of a 130-year-old murder case.

A detective reviewed records of the murder and used radiocarbon testing to provide evidence that the skull belonged to Thomas.

Thompson ruled that Thomas was unlawfully killed and that the cause of death was asphyxiation and head injury.
