Medieval chess pieces may have been used for another game

A new study on the historic Lewis Chessmen show they may have been used for another game called Hnefatafl, the rules of which no longer survive. The 93 pieces - currently split between museums in Edinburgh and London - were discovered on Lewis in 1831. But the research suggests they may have
